David is a business leader with a background in policy development, business analysis, and academia. He is originally from British Columbia, growing up near Vancouver. After earning two graduate degrees and teaching for several years at the post-secondary level, David sought out new challenges in the corporate sphere. In 2011, he moved from London (Ontario) to Calgary (Alberta) and applied his advanced academic training to improving corporate documentation. As President and CEO of Dandly, a full-service management consulting company based in Calgary that is focused on corporate documentation, David continues to add value to corporations in Canada and the USA.
David has served on several nonprofit boards, which he believes is an important act of service to the communities in which he is active. When David is not working or volunteering, he likes to spend time with his family.
Lee Yee Gamble
VP & COO – BA (UNBC); MA, PhD (c) (UWO)
Creative and detail-oriented, Lee is an industrious senior executive, project manager, and consummate technical writer. Her experience covers such diverse fields as information technology, health and wellness, and both the upstream and midstream oil and gas industries. Lee's capacity to distill complex technical concepts and manage multifaceted projects has helped Dandly, Inc. build long-term professional relationships with companies such as Pembina Pipeline and Aqua Pure Ventures/Fountain Quail. Under Lee's direction, Dandly's team of information specialists create, implement, and maintain documentation related to health, safety, and environment management systems, supply chain management systems, and pressure equipment integrity programs, among others.
Lee has a personable, hands-on approach to client relationships. She ensures objectives are met on time and on budget. In her free time, Lee is completing her PhD dissertation on the topic of rhetorical distances in English literature. She lives with her family in Calgary’s northwest.
Jeremy Kinch started working in construction in 1993 and has served the oil and gas, mining, and power industries and public infrastructure projects in Canada, the United States, and Europe. He currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer for the Canadian operations of a Houston-based contractor. Jeremy graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer in Alberta and British Columbia. He and his family reside in Edmonton.
Currently Dean of the Faculty of Business and Professional Studies at Capilano University, Halia has been a business professional in leadership positions for over two decades, as well as university professor and scholar for the past 14 years. Halia has international business experience in the private sector, including a supervising role at a Fortune 100 corporation. She has experience in entrepreneurship, inland ports, consulting, franchising, import/export, logistics, and supply chain.
She earned her Doctoral Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Burgos University, Spain. She also holds an MBA in International Trade and a Master of Science in International Logistics from Texas A & M International University, USA and she is a Certified International Trade Professional in Canada (FITT-CITP). Her academic contributions are impressive.
Shon Marsh has over 25 years of law enforcement service, with 23 on First Nation communities across Alberta. On retirement, he conducted the fraud investigations for the federal government. He was seconded to the Immigration and Refugee Board as Deputy Registrar Western Canada.
Next, he worked for a medium-sized pipeline company in the area of aboriginal engagement and corporate security. Upon contract completion, a First Nation recruited him to their management team to restructure and grow their interests. As VP, he oversaw the expansion of existing band-owned businesses, as well as the acquisition of existing businesses, and represented the Band to the provincial and federal governments in the areas of economic development, land and treaty rights, traditional land use studies, and infrastructure development.
Currently, he operates two companies: one in stakeholder engagement and the other in security and safety.
Dan has over 30 years experience in Engineering, Process Safety and HSE both in Canada and the US. Dan started out in Canada in 1985 working for Dome Petroleum and Amoco Canada after their purchase of Dome. He then went to the US working for Amoco at their Chicago research facility and then relocated to Houston.
He then worked for Exxon as a Chief Inspector at a refinery for 3 years and then back to BP leading the Process Safety Network for 3 years. He was contacted by Talisman Energy to lead a similar effort in Calgary with the inclusion of HSE. He accepted and then re-wrote the existing HSE standards as well as establish the Process Safety (OI) Standards for North America.
Dan then moved to Houston to work for Atkins Engineering as the Houston Operations Manager in charge of both the US and Trinidad offices with over 100 engineers consulting for major clients.
Dan has been married to Cathy for 32 years and has two children who currently both live in Houston.
Brenda is the Chief Growth Officer for Launch Strategic Group. As Chief Growth Officer, Brenda offers companies the consistent leadership needed to facilitate the changes that are necessary to achieve strategic sales growth and improve the company’s future growth prospects.
With 20 plus years in business development and sales strategy, Brenda’s recognized for building sales teams with performance excellence and accountability. Through her business acumen and experience understanding the business issues of clients across industries, Brenda has demonstrated leadership with both her teams and her strategic partners.
With a strong belief in social giving, Brenda volunteers regularly. She is a past Board member and an active member of the Calgary Women in Energy—a nonprofit focused on professional women in the oil and gas sector.
Jim Huber is an experienced pipeline and energy consultant of over 25 years. As president of J. Huber Consulting Ltd., he has provided engineering and technical expertise in the areas of pipeline engineering, operations, maintenance, and pipeline integrity. At Enbridge, TransCanada, and Pembina Pipeline, Jim served in senior levels of management where his experience included developing and maintaining corporate technical documents. He is a professional Engineer in Alberta and British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Regina.
Over 25 years of SCM experience in the private and public sector, which includes more than 15 in supervisory/management positions. Currently, co-owner and President of a supply chain consulting company with a focus on training, process review, systems development, and strategic planning.
Jerome is also an instructor for SCMA, SAIT, and MRU facilitating courses on procurement, leadership/professionalism, ethical behaviour, global sourcing, public procurement, SCM, and planning/scheduling.
With over 13 years in the IT industry and an IT Diploma from the College of New Caledonia (2003), Mat has worked in senior roles for local (Prince George, BC) consulting firms and has been an entrepreneur since 2010. He and his brother, Phil, founded Cantin Brothers Information Technology Services, an IT firm supporting local corporations, which has recently expanded to include personal computer and technology repair. Mat is an avid supporter of local businesses and a proud member of the Prince George Downtown Business Association.
Kevin Gowland is a financial professional who partners with organizations to grow their business by understanding their business model and how to leverage their competitive resources. With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of positions and industries, Kevin knows what drives business success. He was a Chief Financial Officer for a listed company on the Toronto Venture Exchange. Kevin holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Calgary and is a CPA/CMA, as well as a CPA – Delaware USA.
